C-Note is an annual Christian Hip Hop Culture Conference for Christian Hip Hop Artists and Rappers looking to help bridge the gap between spirituality and Hip Hop culture, strengthen the Christian Hip Hop community, and learn valuable tips to help them during their CHH journey. It was designed to help encourage Christian Hip Hop artists and teach them about the values of properly representing Christ, how to counter the enemy's attacks as a Christian rapper and Christian entrepreneur, and how to build relationships within the CHH culture. The conference will help build relationships within the culture, initiate great collaborations and partnerships, gift talented artists in free advertisement and prizes, and ultimately allow Christian Hip Hop to continue to stand strong within the industry--letting the industry know that it IS INDEED a valid and powerful contender--more importantly, building a spiritually strong community of Kingdom-minded Christian artists.
At the least, most registrants will walk away with free advertisement, cash prizes, new partnerships, or collaboration opportunities. Although this conference is beneficial for all that participate, one blessed artist will walk away with $500 to put towards their career, studio equipment, studio time, etc. Winning prizes is a perk of attending our conference; however, it is the least important part of this conference. Our goal is that Christian Hip Hop artists have the knowledge, wisdom, and love for Christ necessary to represent Him in Christian Hip Hop, as well as the proper spiritual tools necessary to counter the enemy's attacks and continue making music for the Kingdom without hitch. What good is CHH if it only leads to riches, fame, and high opinions from men without any spiritual growth? CHH is for God’s Kingdom and His Glory.
Complete Registration or read more details below.
Limited to100 Kingdom-minded registrants
Each year, an online video conference will be held among Christian Hip Hop artists. These artists will be new, up and coming, or aspiring artists looking to build connections, gain live feedback, improve skill, participate in promising collaborations, learn how to take our Christian Hip Hop to mainstream, learn how to counter the enemy's tactics as a Christian entrepreneur, and have the opportunity to win cash prizes, recording equipment, and free advertisement.
Every year, we'll take submissions from several Christian rap artists, and the top 100 artists will be chosen to join the conference based on spiritual desire, quality, skill, drive, content, versatility, and performance. Out of the top 100, 25 of those participants will have the opportunity to play one song of their choice and receive live feedback. Each of the hundred will be able to vote on several aspects of the song using a scale method. In the end, the owner(s) of the song with the highest scores will have the opportunity to win free recording equipment, cash prizes towards their business/dream, and/or partnerships. Additionally, all of the hundred will walk away with new relationships, chances for collaborations, first dibs on the top 25 for the next conference, and more opportunities to receive free advertisement.
The conference will stream live and be recorded and posted on multiple social network and streaming platforms, as well as our Roku channel (launching by next year). The conference will be held online each year on the first Sunday of October at 6:00 PM eastern standard time. Expect the conference to be around three to four hours. Approved participants will receive their personal participant link to enter the conference two to three weeks prior to the conference. Participants and non-participants still have the opportunity to be on our podcast.
This year's conference will be held on October 4th, 2020 at 6:00 PM eastern standard time.
Qualifications: If you are a Christian Rapper or Christian Hip Hop artist interested in connecting with other Christian Hip Hop artists and bringing souls to Christ through Hip Hop music, you qualify to register.
If you're ready to build connections, build Christian Hip Hop culture awareness, grow your following, and get valuable tips for improvement, this conference is for you. No matter which type of registration you choose, you'll be taking advantage of valuable resources for your future and gaining exposure at the least.
There are two types of registration: (1) As a participant only; (2) As a participant and submitter. Read on to learn the benefits of each registration.
As a participant only, you'll have the opportunity to be in the top 100 chosen to attend the conference. You'll hear or receive valuable tips, spiritual advice, support and encouragement, personal experience stories from other artists, and more to help you on your CHH journey; in addition, you'll have the opportunity to reap the following benefits:
Although participant-only registrants don't get to play their song during the conference in the top 25, they do get to share their links within the chat and their links will be placed on our website (and some will be posted on social media). Additionally, some registrants may still win opportunities for paid advertisement. Registration does not guarantee your spot in the 100, but it places you in the running and gets your music reviewed and heard. During the waiting period, your music may be played, shared, and advertised to test its traction in deciding if you can be added to the top 100 (which is only one out of multiple aspects considered when reviewing your music); therefore, if in the end, you are not selected to participate, you still get the chance to have advertisement and real engaged feedback from your audience.
After registration, if selected, you'll receive your admission information no later than September 21st.
One Time $30 Fee
This fee cuts down on trolls and submissions from artists who are not Kingdom-minded or serious. The fee will be refunded if you are not selected. It costs a lot of time, effort, and money to review and advertise music; however, we want anyone of any status to be able to take advantage of this opportunity. Your submission will get you more exposure at the least and potentially connect you with the people that matter within your niche. Your success is worth much more, and we want to see the success of your career and the success of Christian Hip Hop culture as a whole thrive. If you are NOT chosen to be a member of the conference, the fee will be refunded.
Participant and Submitter
As both a participant and a submitter, you reap all of the benefits listed under "Participant Only", as well as the opportunity to:
Registration as a submitter does not guarantee your spot in the 100 or top 25, but it places you in the running, gets your registration priority review, and gets your music heard. During the waiting period, your music may be played, shared, and advertised to test its traction (one out of multiple deciding factors) in deciding if you can be added to the top 100 and/or top 25; therefore, if in the end, you are not selected to participate, you still get the chance to have advertisement and real engaged feedback from your audience.
After registration, if selected, you'll receive your admission information no later than September 21st.
One Time $50 Fee
This fee cuts down on trolls and submissions from artists who are not Kingdom-minded or serious; however, if you are not selected, the fee will be refunded back to you. Your success is worth much more, and we want to see the success of your career and the success of Christian Hip Hop culture as a whole thrive. If you are not chosen to participate in the conference, the fee will be refunded back to you.
Many people know the term "Hip Hop", but few know the true meaning of what Hip Hop really is. With disco being a major trend in the 1970s, it's no wonder the 70s loved poetry over a disco beat--but Hip Hop is more than just a rapper reciting rhymes to a beat. In fact, there is some music in Hip Hop without vocals at all. It's hard to define Hip Hop in a short paragraph because it has a wide range of musical elements, dance, urban history, art, fashion, and philosophy; however, there's one thing that we can all be sure of, and that's knowing that, aside from its controversial impact, Hip Hop has a way of being therapeutic for its participants. Though Hip Hop's first commercial song with success is Rapper's Delight produced by the Sugarhill Gang in 1979, the term "Hip Hop" was not classified until 1982 with an astonishing press article published by Steven Hagar quoting Afrika Bambaataa, the then spokesperson of Hip Hop culture, who told his supporters that the four elements of this great movement was called "Hip-Hop". Though there are several influences and legends of Hip Hop existing today and in history, it's safe to say that Bambaataa, DJ Kool Herc, and Grandmaster Flash are the pioneers of Hip Hop. Regardless, Hip Hop, a powerful dynamic of rhythm and blues, has been an outlet for youth and urban dwellers since the 70s, and it went on to do great things; such as, decreasing violence, evoking limitless creativity, bringing awareness to injustice, and building one of the biggest cultures in our world to include important relationships, vision, valuable expression, descriptions of everyday life, aspirations and dreams, multiple subgenres, trendy fashion, and ultimately five elements--MCing/Rapping, DJing, Breakdancing, Graffiti Writing, and Knowledge. In this day and age, Christian Hip Hop gets to get in on all the action!
Hip Hop culture is a very broad topic. As stated previously, there are so many elements to take into consideration. The music, the dance aspect, the art, and even political responsibility to an extent. The culture of Hip Hop was born in an impoverished place, but managed to reach new heights and touch multiple different races and genres. The five elements listed previously (emceeing, b-boying, DJing, graffiti art, and knowledge) have blossomed and taken on lives of their own. Each of these elements all have their own sub-genres now and it has allowed people from different walks of life to participate. They have even managed to create more moving pieces of the culture. More and more, the culture of Hip Hop is becoming a staple in the world we live in. To be a part of it is to have an outlet to speak through fashion, music, spoken word, dance, a variety of other arts, and even a largely growing avenue of podcasting. Podcasting has found a way to bridge the gap between younger members of the culture and older members of the culture. You can attribute the large growth in podcasting solely to Hip Hop culture. Hip Hop has even created a lane for people to express their personal beliefs. Christian Rap has been becoming more prevalent in today's Hip Hop. Although there's still a ways to go, Christian Hip Hop is expanding and fans of secular hip hop are beginning to relate more to the stories told by Christian rappers. This has given an alternative to the general consumption of Hip Hop music and created a way to heal through this sub-genre of Hip Hop. Some would even say that to an extent; secular Hip Hop has been somewhat influenced by Christian Hip Hop. It's safe to say that Hip Hop is the largest growing culture right now, and from the looks of it, there is no sight of it slowing down. This is why we have created C-Note, an annual Christian Hip Hop culture conference.
Paul said that he became all things to reach people and teach them about God and His Glory. As Christians, it is our natural responsibility to spread the Good News and help bring souls to Christ. When God gifts us with talents, and in this case, the ability to rap well, He gave us our talents for them to be used in ways to glorify Him. Any time we can reach people with the level of talent that He gives us and we don't, we are doing Him an injustice and wasting the greatness that He has given us.
The Hip Hop Culture is obviously huge, and the Christian Hip Hop community has slowly but surely raised to new heights. At Eley Enforcement Entertainment, our goal is bridge the gap between spirituality and Hip Hop culture, while building a strong community of Christian artists who aim to please God and bring souls to Christ. After-all, if no one hears your music, how many souls can we bring to Christ? In addition, if only Christians are listening to our music, how many souls are we really bringing to Christ? Let's take Christian Hip Hop to new heights, catching the attention of many to spread the Word of God to the masses.
Christian Hip Hop depends on Kingdom-minded, spiritually sound artists who aim to please God and save souls. Without it, CHH will slowly be conformed to the world's sinful nature and lack the very thing it originated from--the Message or Word of God. Whether you're signed to our label or not, your success matters to us, and it immediately affects the success of our culture as a whole. This is why we've started an annual Christian Hip Hop Culture Conference to help enable Christian Hip Hop artists to thrive within the Hip Hop industry while remaining spiritually sound and maintaining a relationship with God. We're also giving you the opportunity to gain features, sponsorships, collaborations, cash prizes, advertisement, and more.
